96% of the families we helped reported increased communication and reduced conflict.
Some people find it hard living with parents or guardians and you may not always get on.
If this is starting to get you down, we may be able to help.
How can we help?
We offer a free mediation service that can help you and your family to find ways to reduce conflict and get along better.
A mediator will help you to talk honestly with each other to help you sort out your problems. They won’t make judgements about who is in the right, or tell you what to do; they just want to help.
What happens if I decide to try mediation?
There will be a meeting to introduce the service to you and a separate meeting to introduce it to your parents or guardians.
Our mediators will help you to both think through what is going wrong at home and what you would like to change. They won’t judge you or take sides. They won’t tell your family what you have said and vice versa.
When you and your family are ready everyone will meet together. The mediators are there to ensure that everyone gets a chance to have a say and listen to each other’s point of view.
Mediation helps everyone to remain calm, so you can discuss your problems and come up with your own solutions.
Does it work?
In the last year we have given mediation support to over 70 families. One month after completing the family mediation sessions, 96% of the families we helped reported increased communication and reduced conflict.
